Filmed in David's sun splashed loft, Cooking With One Hand invites you into his sanctuary while taking you on a culinary journey far beyond the four walls of his kitchen. You'll visit tropical open-air markets in Puerto Rico, old world butchers in Little Italy, and a grandmother in Athens, Georgia who shares her collard green secrets.
We’ll be cooking all the well-loved classics: French, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Italian and even some Jewish delicacies. This is a show about the great dishes of the world - the people’s food, made and shared with love.
Join in and learn to cook for the people you love. David will teach you how to do it, simply and clearly. If he can do all this with one hand, imagine what you’ll be able to do with two!
It began in his sunny top floor kitchen, armed with little more than a smart phone: David began cooking with one hand, while filming everything with the other.
Born in NYC, raised in Puerto Rico, and classically trained in a variety of cuisines, David will take your appetite around the world as he shares it all - recipes, tips, secrets and stories about food. You’ll visit the small markets, neighborhoods, and home kitchens of the great Abuelas, Nonnas and Bubbe’s, and if David can do all this with one hand, wait to see what he’ll have you doing with two!
